The chilean novelist Isabel Allende is the most widely read American writer and one of the most famous women in the world. It was a politically engaged writer, a tireless advocate for human rights, besides being a storyteller who has given voice to the female world, especially the world of Latin American women, becoming a female icon of the twentieth century. The documentary “Isabel Allende” is a celebration of life and work of this woman writer. The film shows images in material Superocho private until now have never been shown to the public, images of his childhood in the seventies, when she was a young journalist and was forming his own family, before the arrival of the military coupin Chile. The film portrays the most important periods of his life, his beginnings in Chile, in exile in Venezuela, today, at his home in San Francisco, USA.
