VISIONA FILMPRODUCTION is a film and video production company located in Berlin (Germany) and Santiago de Chile. It was founded in 2010 by the chilean documentary filmmaker Paula Rodríguez Sickert. In its documentaries production, Visiona focusses on contemporary political, social, enviromental and cultural developments into different continents.

Paula Rodríguez Sickert
Paula Rodríguez Sickert (Chile, 1963), lives in Berlin since 1989. She studied Architecture in the HdK and then Film Direction at the DffB in Berlin. She embarked upon professional career as a documentary film director and Television journalist. Her work has mainly dealt with subjects concerning Latin America. A number of her documentaries, such as „First Steps“, Pinochet´s Children“ (Arte-SWR) and "Isabel Allende" (Arte-NDR) have received prizes at international film festivals and been distributed on television channels around the world. 2010 she has founded in Berlin their own documentary films production company (VISIONA Filmproduction). She is also developing audiovisual environmental workshops proposed by Ecovision, to promote awareness of young people in Chile’s environmental problems in different parts of this country (+info)

John Márquez
John Márquez was born in Mérida, Venezuela. Director of Photography and Cinemathographer. He filmed the documentary film “Isabel Allende” (Arte-NDR) and “Blog Cuba”, (Dir. Paula Rodriguez S.) documentary film in process of production. He has also filmed many documentaries and Feature films in Latin America, Europe and Africa. Nicolas Hammerschlag
Co-screenwriter and First Assistant Director of “THE ISLAND ON THE MIRROR”. He was born in Chile in 1966 and lives en Berlin since 1991. He graduated in Film Direction at the DFFB Berlin. He’s filmmaker of shortfilms (fiction and nonfiction) and TV comercials. He has received prizes at international film festivals. From 2003, he has worked both as first assistant director for documentary films (ARTE; NDR; SWR), (“Isabel Allende”) and as filmmaker for Sitcoms (SAT1), Docusoaps (RTL) and Documentary films.
Clara López Rubio
Clara López Rubio nace en Granada (España) en 1973. Los tres primeros años de vida los pasa en Marruecos, país con el que todavía mantiene una estrecha relación. En 1976 se muda a Madrid con sus padres. Desde 1994 reside en Berlín, Alemania. Es licenciada en dirección de cine por la Academia de Cine de Berlín, la Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin. Ha dirigido cuatro cortometrajes, todos ellos premiados en certámenes nacionales e internacionales (La Fuente Verde (1995), Totensang (1997), Aurora(1999) y El Conde Inglés (2002). Desde 1995 trabaja en cine y televisión como ayudante de dirección y producción, sobre todo en proyectos hispano-alemanes. Caben destacar los largometrajes Anansi, de Fritz Bauman (Avista Film, Munich, 2002), Sobre el Arcoiris de Gonzalo López Gallego (CLG Media, Madrid, 2003), Hierankl, de Hans Steinbichler (Avista Film, Munich, 2003) y Stauffenberg de Jo Baier (TeamWorx, Berlín, 2004). También se dedica a la investigación cinematográfica. Algunos temas de sus publicaciones y ponencias son “El cine de mestizaje, una nueva tendencia en el cine español” (I Congreso de Historia del Cine, Universidad de Granada, 2000), “Visiones de España: la imagen de España en el cine alemán” (Congreso de la AEHC en Valencia, 2001) y“Cine y Migración en el cine español” (Villa Lessing, Saarbrücken, 2007). Además de su actividad de ayudante de dirección, es desde el año 2000 programadora y coordinadora de ciclos de cine español y alemán. Caben destacar los ciclos „La noche de Berlín“ (Círculo de Bellas Artes, Madrid, 2000) y „Sueños de Al-Andalus“ (Institutos Cervantes de Berlín, Rabat, Fez, Casablanca, Tánger, Tetuán, Beirut, Trípoli y Damasco, 2005-2007) En el año 2010 realiza los ciclos de cine independiente argentino„Cine Imperfecto“, y el ciclo de la „Delirios de Aviación y Tierra de España“.
Juan Manuel Pancorbo
Juan Manuel Pancorbo was born in Jaén (Spain) in 1973. He combined his studies of Image Sciences in the Complutense University (Madrid) with his work as a communication advisor for a public relation business. He nació en Jaén en 1973. Compaginó sus estudios de ciencias de la Imagen en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid con el trabajo como asesor de comunicación para una empresa de relaciones públicas, llevando a cabo una labor periodística pero también frente al periodista, en ese ambiguo espacio en que se desarrolla el juego de poder entre los intereses privados y el derecho a la información.
En 1998, se trasladó a Berlín, donde cursó estudios de dirección en la Academia de Cine y Televisión Alemana. Ha realizado numerosos cortometrajes, el último de ellos en su tierra natal (“Ataduras”, Jaleo Films/dffb) y trabajado como guionista de ficción y autor de documentales, colaborando habitualmente con Paula Rodríguez S. (“Volver a vernos/Pinochets Children”, arte/MAJADE) o „La Enfermedad de Lena“ para Köln Media Filmporduktion . En la actualidad, al margen de su actividad como traductor, trabaja como guionista en el próximo proyecto de largometraje de la directora extremeña Irene Cardona.
Lucía Nieto Maestre
Lucía Nieto Maestre was born in Madrid in 1988. She spent a large of her childhood in Montpellier (France) and then returned to Madrid to finish the studies and a Master degree in Audiovisual comunication and Journalism at the university: Rey Juan Carlos (Madrid).
In 2010 she went to Poznan (Poland) for an Erasmus scholarship and then she has been production assitant in Berlin for the project “El Desafío”".
María Manrique Gil
She was born in Palencia (Spain) in 1988. An innate non-conformist since she was a child, she decided to study journalism in Madrid. But soon she realized classrooms aren’t the right place to find news, she had to get out to the streets. She concluded her studies in Berlin, where she discovered new worlds and interests. María is passionate of literature, an insatiable traveler with a Saharan heart, a lover of nature and an advocate of ecological fights. Since 2013 she is part of Bisual Studio, a photojournalism project where she writes travel articles. Now she is back in Berlin during 2014 where she makes a Leonardo scholarship as production assistant in VISIONA Filmproduction.
Chus López Vidal
Chus is an artist and curator living in Berlin. She has organized numerous events, including her Ea/ID solo exhibition at RAMPE 003 (Berlin 2000), 8 Künstler 8 Länder (8 Artists 8 Countries; Berlin 2002), Die Traumsammlungat the Instituto Cervantes (Collected Dreams; Berlin 2004), Me, myself and I (Frankfurt 2005), and Gratwanderungen at the ruins of the Franciscan Monastery (Balancing Act; Berlin 2007). In 2009, she coordinated Gallery Schuster events in Berlin and would spend the next two years as co-director and curator at the Department of Culture for the Berlin-Tempelhof district. Since 2011, Chus has been active teaching art to secondary school students in Berlin.
